Baby Shower
My husbands bosses wife called me up the other day to tell me that the baby shower will be for this weekend, they are kind enough to host this gathering in their house. Karissa had first called me to ask if we should go forward with the shower as some people who were invited could not make it, but I told her that we should still go through with the shower.

The shower was a simple affair as I had just barely made some friends in the place that we live and some acquaintances that we met thru mutual friends. We had some games such as Brain Games for babies and talked about kids and babies in general.
All in all we were 6 girls and my husband and his boss plus co workers were downstairs enjoying the bar that his boss had in the basement. The bar is stockpiled with all manner of drinks from your regular rum and scotch to bourbon. Sean made my husband some Mint Juleps, essentially bourbon with Mint leaves, crushed ice and syrup.
We left at around 6 pm but did not go home yet as we had to help out a friend of ours who had to pick up a package from a friend of his dads that had come from India. We left our place at 7 pm and arrived at the place around 9 pm after a good 1 and a half hours driving, after chatting and excusing ourselves we went back and got home at 11 pm and so ended a very hectic day for me but also very happy from the gifts that I received.

Ughhhh! I can't wait!
My first whole pregnancy was wonderful, because I'm excited and its my first time to get pregnant at that time don't get me wrong I love having this second baby but now I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I can't wait to give birth! I want to see my baby! I'm so tired and uncomfortable! My back hurts everytime I walk, move and do something. I can't sleep at night! I don't sleep hardly at all lately. I get tired easily, I don't have much energy. My husband thought that I'm over reacting but I'm not. I'm so huge! I look like I am having twins, I am so certain he is coming early! The pressure on my pelvis is crazy. I have to pee all the time. I can't sit, stand or lay with out being uncomfortable. I know the last weeks of pregnancy are usually the hardest...your sore, anxious, nervous, scared, excited, happy, sad and everything in between. The baby's room isn't ready yet because he does not have one haha. I have tons of things to buy and to do. I feel like there is no one to help me. My almost 5yr old son is not helping me either with my chores and I have to do everything on my own.
I'm hoping the next few weeks go by fast because I don't know how much more my back can take!

A Blessed Addition To The Family
The visit to my OB turned out pretty well, she said that I was going along well with my pregnancy and that the baby was healthy, during the visit the baby was actively moving about and making some ruckus probably because of my excitement on finding the gender of the baby.
Drum roll please! We are pleased to announce that our second child will be a boy, the Sonographer in attendance during my visit took one look and said right away that it was a boy, I of course was mildly surprised and I asked her again to confirm and she did with pictures as evidence and she also pointed out the developing male genitalia of the baby.

After being shown the picture I did not know how to react because I was assuming that it was a girl, and looking at some different Chinese Calendars and believing the old wives tales of my physical appearance they determined that the baby would be a girl.
My husband was surprised as well but he is also happy because he has two boys and he can always start his football team with them, also my son was ecstatic as whenever I ask him for the baby's name he always tell us that he likes to name the baby Sam.
So in ending we now know what to expect and we are trying to get our affairs in other like picking out a name, preparing a baby shower that my husband will give me. I will of course keep you all updated on any developments.
*This is not my ultrasound picture, I got this from Ivillage.com 22weeks development.* The sonographer did not take a good picture so this is just a visualization of the a baby at 22 weeks.
